Book Crazy: September 2012
http://www.bookcrazyblog.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. Fall Into Reading 2012. It's autumn once again in the U.S. and that means it's time for a reading challenge. I've been joining the reading challenges of Katrina at Callapidder Days. For the few years and I truly enjoy knowing that halfway around the world, there is a group of (mostly) women reading with me. Here are my books for this year's Fall Into Reading:. 1 Changes that Heal by Henry Cloud. 2 10 Lessons from a Former Fat Girl by Amy Parham. 3 Redemption by Karen Kingsbury.

Monday, September 1, 2014. September first. I can't believe we're down to our last four months of the year. And I'm starting this month out with a list challenge called 30 Days of Lists, a semi-annual journaling challenge for Listers. Today's prompt is Today is brought to you by. Let me tell you this day has not been easy. It's been completely exhausting, but I'm glad it's almost over for me. Can't wait to start another day tomorrow. Until then, I leave you with list #1. Book Crazy: March 2013
http://www.bookcrazyblog.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 28, 2013. Do you have any regrets in life? I am tempted to say yes. I've definitely taken a lot of missteps, have done things I wish I hadn't and have things I wish I'd done but didn't. I wish I'd done better in school, for instance. One of my frustrations was never getting into the Dean's List in college although I came close a few times. Which I highly recommend because I can vouch for who's running it, my coach (and mom) Susan Rivera. Who has 20 years of solid HR experience spanning nu...

Sunday, May 13, 2012. Cohen Diaries - Day 12. Photo courtesy of 25 Mushrooms Kitchen Facebook Page. Then I went to the U.S. with my family. People were warning me about the weight you gain because of the rich food and huge servings. Surprisingly, I did not put on weight. In fact, I lost weight because of the constant walking I had to do in New York. But when I got back to Manila, I was so excited to have rice again that I went overboard. I put on around 30lbs on top of that 30lbs I gained back. So I weig...

Lizette Claudio » Hello, courage.

Breaking out of a rut. Today I did something difficult. It was difficult, but I knew I had to do it if I wanted to heal, grow, and live in freedom. In the midst of doing what needed to be done, I was surprised that I actually felt calm and at peace. But as soon as I finished what I needed to do, I found myself nervous and anxious. I started second-guessing myself and I wondered if I should regret what I did. Forty long minutes, 30 troubled thoughts, and 20 deep breaths later, here’s what I realized:.

Hopefully more ups than downs, but boy are my legs tired. Wednesday, March 21, 2012. 100 Word Review: The Fault In Our Stars. It's been a long time since I read a book that captured me simply with the dialogue between the characters and the emotion the author brought forth in me. The Fault In Our Stars. By John Green was a wonderful surprise find (thanks Amazon recommendations). It's a wonderful read that I highly recommend. Here's my 100 word review of The Fault In Our Stary. Their story is genuine,.

About books and more…. Dharma Through Prism of Sachin’s Cricket. May 28, 2017. I am reminded of this on revisiting in a couple of hours the life’s work of Sachin Tendulkar – a man that dominated cricket in India like no individual has any sports ( Sachin: A Billion Dreams. Two questions come to mind – common when one deals with actors of great achievement. First, is the value of one’s work to be informed by one’s actions outside of that sphere? Book Review: If You Have to Cry, Go Outside by Kelly Cutrone and Meredith Bryan. I saw a woman reading. If You Have to Cry, Go Outside and Other Things Your Mother Never Told You. While on the subway in New York and decided I wanted a copy for myself. I’ve always admired Kelly. And her spunk which I saw through watching The Hills. I’m a big cryer myself and I know I’ve made the stupid mistake of crying when I was a lot younger so when I saw the title of this book, I was immediately drawn to it. April 3, ...

I broke them all. I first met Jagger when I was just nine years old. He was an older boy who gave me twenty dollars to buy a new pair of ballet shoes after I dropped mine in the mud. That's when I fell in love with him. And love would be my downfall. Well, until he needed me to help him pull off his biggest con to date.

Wednesday, 7 March 2012. The Medici Legacy by Greg Ahlgren. I read The Medici Legacy to be honest this is not something I would normally read if picking something for myself. The book was slow to get started the plot line was good and it was well written but it didn't leave a lasting impression for me personally. I realised quickly that I was not going to be won over as I just wasn't lost inside the book which I usually am. You can purchase The Medici Legacy by Greg Ahlgren at. Posted by Book Crazy.
