I collect R.L. Stine books. It started with me trying to complete my collection of the Goosebumps books I read as a kid, and morphed into this insane search for every book the man has ever written. I say insane, because have you seen how many books he's written? A lot I'm not even sure how many. And they're hard to find. So far, I have not resorted to shopping online (much), and have just looked in every used book store or sale that I see. And Reader Beware. You're in for a Scare! Say Cheese and Die!

At the beginning of the year I made a note to myself stating how I would connect with more bloggers, read more books and write better reviews. Six months later, I've failed miserably at all three. Well.I like my reviews, they're informal, concise, personal and still informative. So maybe not a complete fail. But definitely failures on the other two. I can't get away. Let’s forget political motivations for a second and briefly talk about realities. This is the case for all soldiers. This is the case for many young people. Reflections of a melancholic bookreader. Poetry for thought - The Mistletoe Bride. By Carol Ann Duffy. The December bride who, bored with dancing, skipped from the castle hall to play hide-and-seek, a white bird flickering into the dark. The groom, who searched each room, calling her name; then the bridal guests, flame-lit, checking the grounds. The fifty Christmases till a carpenter jemmied an old oak chest; the skeleton with its unstrung pearls, loose emeralds, its rings of diamond, sapphire, gold.

Reflections of a melancholic bookreader. I haven't posted in a while but I have been reading. Albeit at a very casual and leisurely pace. I'm currently reading two books and should have reviews posted by next week at some point (fingers crossed) I posted write ups on Orleans. By Sherri L. Smith and The Thin Man. By Dashiell Hammet earlier this month. You might notice they aren't in the archives- why is that you ask? Because they're on the new site. 1 Visit the new site. 2 I AM reading.just slowly.

Reflections of a melancholic bookreader. Review - Who Fears Death. I vividly remembered the sensation of having my forehead caved in by a large rock. It didn't hurt as much as it should have. It just felt like I was suddenly.exposed. A rock destroyed my nose, bloodied my ear, buried itself in my cheek. I was conscious through most of it (p.128). Maybe a combination. I don't know.I was only sure of one thing: her death. Top Ten Tuesday - Series I Haven't Finished. Hola We're trying something new today.
