Monday, March 28, 2011. Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. I have read plenty of books on Eastern culture. There is a huge difference in important in education in the Eastern world vs the Western world. While our children are spending all their after-school time playing volleyball, soccer, baseball, football, dance, cheer, and whatever else is out there for kids these days, the Eastern side of the world has a focus on the arts, music, and education. Is it a matter of over-achieving?
