So many books, so little time!
Booknotes by Lisa: January 2009
http://booknotesbylisa.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
So many books, so little time! Friday, January 30, 2009. Blackbird House by Alice Hoffman. Everything that happens to these families in Blackbird House over the years makes me wish that I lived in an older home. I would love to think about the people who lived there before me. However, we built our house, so I can only hope that hundreds of years from now, someone may think about the original inhabitants of their home and wonder what our life was like. Links to this post. So many books, so little time! Thursday, March 26, 2009. Wow, I can't believe it's been over a week since I last posted. Things have been really busy lately - more so than usual. But, I have been reading. I've finished the arc I received through LibraryThing's Early Reviewers program - Darling Jim. By Christian Morek. I really enjoyed this one and will be doing a review soon, I hope. I've started reading Mrs. Dalloway's Reader. For book clubs in April, I'm reading A Lesson Before Dying. Links to this post.

So many books, so little time! Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Well sort of, anyway. It's been so long since I read the following books, that I really don't feel I can say all that much about them. But, in an effort to get back on track and get caught up with some things, I'll just briefly mention my thoughts on each one. I first heard of this book from dovegreyreader. A Lesson Before Dying. I think it's my favorite book of the year so far. May 19, 2009 at 11:03 AM. May 19, 2009 at 11:22 AM. They all sound good!
Booknotes by Lisa: November 2008

So many books, so little time! Tuesday, November 18, 2008. The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. I've had this book forever and just finally got around to reading it. The book begins,. This a short, powerful book. Like most of Hoffman's books, the reader has to be able to suspend disbelief. However, she makes it quite easy to do so. Though her premise is strange, I didn't really question anything about it. The book is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time and one I highly recommend. Links to this post.

A Long and Happy Life. Something by William Faulkner? I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day weekend! I love the button for this challenge! I've had my eye on Mudbound - t...
