August 2012 | Things I Want to Punch in the Face
http://thingsiwanttopunchintheface.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 30, 2012. Flipping through a fancy-pants fashion mag, I happened upon an Annie Leibovitz photo. Of Angelina Jolie drifting down a Cambodian river, accompanied by only her Louis Vuitton travel tote. Sit too close to the edge and that Alto bag is a croc’s snack bag. I don’t care how rich you are, crazy expensive designer luggage seems as ill-advised as buying a mansion built on quicksand. It’s suppose to encase your suit and protect your fabulous belongings, not be. Links to this post.

K Marx The Spot. We are living in a materialist world, and this is a materialist. Blogs I Wished I'd Started: 1. It's "simple" and yet "effective": the "blog" of "unnecessary" quotation marks. That looks very much like a comma splice. But why quotation marks are supposed to substitute for emphasis is hard to fathom. Labels: Blogs I wished I'd Started. Everything best friends share. Posted in Everything Else. They sell a box of Christmas themed books for $29.99 plus shipping which for our location was $25.00. The site said they pack around 100 books per box so we decided we could split a box. So it cost $55.00 and we each got about 50 books from the deal, not too shabby! And the even better part is we had enough books that we can do it again next year and it won’t cost us any more money since we already have the books. Of course the second box didnR...

News From the Holmestead. Musings about writing, being a freelance editor, and life in general, with healthy doses of humor and unapologetic acts of silliness. Sunday, August 26, 2012. Books By the Foot. Now I've seen it all. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I just found a Web site by accident called Books By the Foot. My personal favorite, one I must admit I very much liked the look of, was the Newspaper Decoupage Accent. Photo credit: Books By the Foot. News From the Holmestead. Still, I prefer th...
