Books Etc's Blog: March 2009
http://booksetcblog.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 19, 2009. Pictured here are a few of the books I spoke about while doing a recent "207" on wsch6 TV. The 2 books I'm probably the most excited about are Backyard Homesteading. By Carleen Madigan and Gardening When it Counts. By Steve Solomon. Both are very comprehensive and through, with lots of very useful info. They are easy to follow and process and Backyard Homestead. Is full of great illustrations. Gardening when it Counts. Links to this post. Root Cellaring - Mike and Nancy Bubel.

Kevin Hawkes at Books Etc. 0 Responses to "Kevin Hawkes at Books Etc.". What Is This Blog For? This blog is meant to be a help to people in choosing children's books. It seems to me that in the world of adult books there no end of opportunities for recommendations. Author appearances on radio and TV talk shows, friends and colleagues, articles in magazines and newspapers as well as your own ability to tell a person helping you in a bookstore what other books you've enjoyed. Donna's Book Blog: Hunger Games
http://donnasbooks.blogspot.com/2008/10/hunger-games.html
The young adult book I'm recommending more than any other these days is Hunger Games. By Suzanne Collins. Many young readers may be familiar with Suzanne's Gregor the Overlander. These teenagers are summarily paraded out to a tv audience to be "sponsored" by a jaded and bloodthirsty public and dumped into an arena to fight to the death. Yeah I know it sounds awful. It's not. It's fabulous. Story since I read Ender's. History. (the 1st drive-in movie she got taken to was Paton. 1 Response to "Hunger Games".
