Uses converted buses as mobile education classrooms to serve the children who work at teashops. Many of the children ages 8-15 work 14-16 hour days in hopes of giving what little money they make to their families. Most sleep at the teashops at night either on the floors or on the tables. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Bagan is probably one of the most visited places in Myanmar. It was once home to an ancient kingdom in the 9-13th centuries. You will find over 2000 ancient pagodas, temples, and monastaries that are now 800-1100 years old! They are spread out over the plains next to Irrawaddy River. It was really amazing to explore the ancient ruins and to see the relics and reliefs of long ago. You could climb some of them as well to get an amazing view of the surrounding area.
