Part of Turkey is in Europe, and part is in Asia. This is a silk scarf from Turkey. We learned that blue and red are popular colors. This is Little Red Riding Hood in Turkish. May 8, 2013. What is a polygon? It is a shape that has straight sides, is closed, and the lines only meet at the corners, called angles. We made polygons. We used straws and twist ties. We bent the twist ties a nd stuck them in the st raws. We made tr iangles, squares, rectangles, hexagons, trapezoids, pentagons and diamonds. We enjoyed doing this, and we got t o take our polygons home. I used to loved connecting straws, you guys are awesome at it! May 9, 2013 at 9:33 AM. I use to love making polygons!

In še vedno se vrti. Torek, 09. marec 2010. 132010 smo mlajši učenci naše šole odšli v Cankarjev dom. Tam smo gledali simfonično predstavo Peter in volk. Pripovedovalec nam je pripovedoval zgodbo, mi pa smo poslušali koncert in gledali slike, projecirane na platno. Glasbo Sergeja Prokofjeva nam je igral Policijski orkester. Na koncu smo tudi skupaj zapeli Tra ta ta in Hudo mravljico. Ugotovili smo, da veliko risank rabi glasbo, da zaživijo. Bilo je zelo lepo. Nina Sangawa Hmeljak, 3.b.

In še vedno se vrti. Nedelja, 18. april 2010. Učenci naše šole smo se pridružili akciji, v kateri je sodelovalo več kot 250.000 prostovoljcev iz vse Slovenije in zaradi katere smo preteklo soboto uspeli izvleči iz okolja kar okoli 80.000 kubičnih metrov smeti. Dan smo začeli z eko delavnicami. Že kmalu pa se nam je pridružil predsednik vlade, g. Boris Pahor, ki je v šolo prišel s kolesom. Preden smo zavihali rokave in se lotili dela, je poklepetal z nami pred šolo. Potem pa v akcijo! Bodi ti ta sprememba,.

Razstava o Darwinu, na kateri smo s svojimi likovnimi izdelki sodelovali tudi učenci naše šole, se je na posebno povabilo tamkajšnje Pedagoške fakultete preselila v Brno na Češkem. V Mendelovem muzeju so se tako poleg ostalih plakatov in razstavnih eksponatov znašle tudi naše slike in članek šolskega časopisa Kuku:. In še vedno se vrti. Sreda, 15. september 2010. Časi niso rožnati, za nikogar, zato nas je donacija SKB banke še kako razveselila. Na otvoritvi njihove podružnice na Viču (Špar) je tako naša ravnateljica Lidija Žigon s širokim nasmehom prevzela ček za 1000 evrov, ki jih bomo porabili za nakup tehnične opreme. V avli so razstavljeni izdelki učencev naše šole. Pred nekaj dnevi nas je obiskal Papi, pujsek SKB banke, in z veseljem smo ga upodobili v 1000 različicah :).
