CrimeBeat: August 2007
http://crimebeat.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 14, 2007. The CBC's Stuart McLean sums up my philosophy on buying books quite well. I'm something of a completist. I own copies of nearly every one of Martha Grimes's Richard Jury series (and a few of the other series, which I don't like as much but bought anyway). I'm currently missing just "S" from Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone series. I have nice, matching paperbacks of David Eddings's Belgariad. Plus the three companion volumes ( Belgarath the Sorcerer. And The Rivan Codex.

CrimeBeat: July 2007
http://crimebeat.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 6, 2007. The Murder Room by PD James. I just finished The Murder Room. By PD James last night. Y'know, I've always loved her books, but I fear I don't have the time for them anymore. James is a leisurely read; in this one, the body didn't even turn up until a quarter of the way into the book. I've read pretty much all of James's Dalgliesh books, apart from Shroud for a Nightingale. May be the last one of hers that I read. Not because I don't want. To- if my life slows down enough again, mayb...

A velvet fist in an iron glove. Suit of One Color. Only Lisa and [ Today. Team member Sylvia Jeffreys] know about the suit. They often remark that it's getting a bit stinky.
