THE ODYSSEY BY HOMER | books, yo.
https://booksyo.wordpress.com/2015/08/11/the-odyssey-by-homer
THE ODYSSEY BY HOMER. And return to what, for us, was home. The snow, however, had other ideas. Odysseus in the Cave of Polyphemus. The point of this story is to illustrate how universal great literature is, for whenever I think back to that day, which is something that I do quite often, I am immediately reminded of. Men are so quick to blame the gods: they say. That we devise their misery. But they. Themselves- in their depravity- design. Grief greater than the griefs that fate assigns. The tricking of ...

Czytanki Anki: Głosy Marrakeszu
http://czytankianki.blogspot.com/2015/05/gosy-marrakeszu.html
Niedziela, 17 maja 2015.

You really can’t go anywhere without tripping over books or running into authors, booksellers, reviewers, book sales, book talks, or libraries. And to add to this wonderfulness is the fact that Madison boasts some fantastic indie bookstores (see my Literary Tourism post. Rachel S. Cordasco. Labels: Book Riot post. Is reminisc...

Czytanki Anki: lipca 2015
http://czytankianki.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Czwartek, 30 lipca 2015.
http://czytankianki.blogspot.com/2015/07/piec-zeszytow.html
Wtorek, 14 lipca 2015. Dawid Sierakowiak, Dziennik. Pięć zeszytów z łódzkiego getta.

John's Book Synopsis & Review
Johns Book Synopsis and Review. Sunday, July 14, 2013. Buddha’s Last Words: Why I Became a Jew. Buddha’s Last Words: Why I Became a Jew. Over a year ago, I converted to Judaism. This essay is just a few thoughts on that: what I find uniquely appealing about being a Jew. Or, why I want to be one. As good of jumping off point as any would be The Buddha’s last words. Buddhist ideas – like many other ideas from numerous sources – are a part of my intellectual hard wiring. I was raised Roman Catholic and have...

Books, Yoga, Life...
Books, Yoga, Life. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Look what I made. My Outlander Scarf. I am a rather large fan of the Outlander Series. I love the books by Diana Gabaldon. And I love the TV series on Starz. It is not often that series or movies do any justice to the books they are based on, however, in the case of this series, the Starz has done an amazing job. Especially the costume department. I am crazy about all of the knit wear that the characters wear. Especially Claire. I wanted to make them jealous.
