My shirt/souvenir from the expo. Jen and I on our empty...

The Best Days of Our Lives. The adventures of 3 incredible little girls, and their parents who do their best to keep up. Thursday, September 5, 2013. Life at the Hospital. Spending a couple days at the hospital with just my little Clara was great. The girls and I made a little heart garland to decorate her bed with. The nurses all thought it was really cute. Of course there were big sister visits. Isn't this picture horrible? Justin on the other hand always looks very dashing holding his baby girls.

After swimming the other day I wrapped a towel around my waist. Emily saw me and said, "Mom, that towel really doesn't look good on you.". Mom, would you like to join me for underwater ballet dancing class? So many many more, but I forget before I can write them down. We sure love our sassy pants. Monday, June 11, 2012. A quick trip up to Vermont to visit Daddy.

A Ghost of a Second Chance. The Little White Christmas Lie. WORK IN PROGRESS SHARE. Some herbs, like eucalyptus and wormwood, can be used to repel animals and insects. From The Recipes of Mercy Faye. New York, New York. New York City’s night noises seeped through the wall chinks and window: the jingle of horse harnesses, the stomping of hooves, the mournful howl of a dog, but one noise, a noise that didn't belong, jarred Mercy awake. A creak on the stairs that led to her apartment. In the mirror she saw ...

Kristy's Stories: May 2015

A Ghost of a Second Chance. The Little White Christmas Lie. WORK IN PROGRESS SHARE. Friday, May 29, 2015. My yoga instructor likes to toss out homilies. Amid the instructions to inhale, exhale, up-dog and down-dog, she adds pithy quotes from feel good gurus like Zig Ziglar and the Dali Lama. Sometimes I agree with her advice and sometimes I don’t. Today she said, “One of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make in your life is whether to try harder or to walk away.”. Sometimes we think that we need somethi...

A Ghost of a Second Chance. The Little White Christmas Lie. WORK IN PROGRESS SHARE. From some secrets, just like from some men, there’s no escape. 8220;A lemon that’s been squeezed too many times ends up in the compost pile…” I started out strong, but my words faded away when I noticed Savannah Everett’s father staring at me. He stood beside a cart filled with vegetables, grinning, as if he had caught me in my lie. 8220;Good morning, Miss Emma,” he said, standing by the potatoes and onions. Hiding my flu...
