Monday, August 15, 2011. Maternity Leave, Part II. Between the Husband and me, we had 4 weeks of family leave left to use before Baby turns 1. Since the Husband is such a workaholic, we procrastinated to 2 weeks before Baby turns 1, and the Husband still cannot take more time off to hang out. And boy, has it been nice. What's even better is being able to send Baby to daycare for a few hours every day, if I want to (and I have! But having Baby around really makes life so much more fun.

Tuesday, February 08, 2011. It's been awhile since I've blogged - been busy with spending time with William, like playing with him, challenging him to roll over, and trying out new foods on him. We've tried banana, sweet potato, and just added rice cereal. He seems to like them all! He hasn't been able to roll over yet, but he knows he is close because he gets mad when he CAN'T roll over. Which is funny, since he HATES being on his stomach - he cries to be turned back onto his back. This Child Left Behind.

Tuesday, December 21, 2010. I'm pretty sure Baby prefers his daddy over me. When Daddy comes home from work and says, "Xiaohaizhi, ni hao! Baby looks up and smiles a very big smile. When Daddy plays with Baby, Baby is all smiles and giggles and laughs. Hardly. When I pick up Baby from daycare (apparently, he's a very good baby for the sitter - and her daughter is going to miss Baby while he's home), he doesn't smile. He looks at me like I'm any other person he'd see out on the street.

Thursday, September 1. Hunger; Hungry; Laperrr. They said breastfeeding always makes the mother feel hungry all the time; I totally agree. I never feel fully satisfied. Especially after pumping out all the milk, always leave me with the feeling of hungry yet tired too. Is it because of the post-operation appendix?
