Saturday, November 19, 2011. Temperance Wall was born October 8, 1865 at Wallsburg in the Old Fort near Spring Creek. She was the youngest daughter of William Madison and Elizabeth Penrod Wall. Her father died when she was four years old. She helped her mother glean wheat and helped tend the sheep. Then she picked wool for her mother to spin yarn for their stockings.
