Die Werkstatt ist hinten rechts im Hof - Kunden können auf dem Hof parken! Anreise per Bahn bis Bahnhof Waldkirch. Zu Fuss sind es 10 Minuten.

Für Gamben, Barockcelli oder Violone fertige ich Bestandteile wie Wirbel, Stachel, Griffbretter oder Saitenhalter selbst. Dazu verwende ich ausgesuchte, lang abgelagerte einheimische Hölzer. Möchten sie individuell für ihr Instrument handgefertigte Bestandteile haben, nehme ich Holzauswahl und Gestaltung gerne gemeinsam mit ihnen vor. Saitenhalter für G - Violone, furniert mit geriegeltem Ahorn und Einlegearbeiten. Griffbrett und Saitenhalter für Bassgambe aus geriegeltem Nussbaum.

Autodidaktisch begann ich mich neben Konzerttourneen und Unterrichtstätigkeit intensiv mit dem Bau von Streichinstrumenten zu beschäftigen. Die Aussicht, Klang und Holz in einem Beruf verbinden zu können, veranlasste mich, nun noch eine Ausbildung als Geigenbauer bei Bass- und Cellobau - Meister Andreas Wilfer zu absolvieren und an der Geigenbauschule Mittenwald abzuschließen.

Wenn der Klang eines Streichinstrumentes nicht ganz den Vorstellungen des Musikers entspricht , unausgewogen ist oder ein Wolfton bestimmte Töne blockiert, muss nicht immer gleich nach einem anderen Instrument Ausschau gehalten werden. Durch gezielte Veränderung an Parametern wie Saiten, Stimmstock, Steg, Saitenhalter oder Hängesaite lässt sich der Klang eines Streichinstruments sehr beeinflussen.
