Nendaz – Nendaz 2005

Nendaz. Het beste ski gebied waar ik ooit geweest ben. Het gebied waar de rode pistes blauw zijn, de rode pistes zwart en de zwarte pistes gekkewerk. En dan 's avonds in een bar eindigen waar een blanke rastafari het voor elkaar krijgt om elke top 40 hit naar dancehall te laten klinken. Waar er geen pannenkoeken worden gebakken maar amuzes. Waar de mannen met 90 km/u van de plan-du-fou afgaan. Niediep in de maagdelijk witte tiefschnee en geen enkel spoortje te zien. Achterop je board en surfen maar!

Kitesurf weekend Spring Edition. Het eerste BornToFly KiteSurf Weekend Spring Edition. Zon en bier op het prachtige strand van Vlieland. Overdag aan de gang en 's avonds naar 'bruintje beer' en 'de Stoep'. Dat er bijna geen wind stond, dat interesseerde niemand. En ook nog kitesurfen. Aast alles wat een perfect weekend nodig heeft, moet er ook nog gekite worden tijdens zo'n weekend. Zoals wellicht bekent was ik beter in bier drinken dan in het water liggen, maar gelukkig waren er. BBQ in het donker.

Oor de verjaardag van Pe, sleetje rijden. Iedereen weet wat dat inhoud, maar als je dat doet in het donker van een piste, dan wordt dat toch ineens een heel ander verhaal. Skibril op, licht op je pan,. Ja, een van de geweldigste Off piste plekken die ik ken. Na met een ploegje door dikke mist te hebben geraasd verdween (naar mijn herinnering mij niet in de steek laat) Adri glijdend, vier meter.
