http://thewhetstonefamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/vacation-day-28-mount-rushmore.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Vacation Day 28- Mount Rushmore. The next morning we were a bit more refreshed. We got ready and headed to Mount Rushmore. Sam's hands free water bottle holding system. As beautiful as ever! From there we drove to a hotel in Sioux Falls. We were in a hurry to get there with time to swim! It was hard to find dinner one we got there, though. We grabbed a little caesars and I don't remember what my parents ended up getting. Most places were closed! Posted by The Whetstone Family.

The Whetstone Family: Vacation Day 15--Krispy Kreme!
http://thewhetstonefamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/vacation-day-15-krispy-kreme.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. Vacation Day 15- Krispy Kreme! Our first day in California, we went to the park. Since I hadn't gone for a run since Jason left, Ben and I ran while Grandma and the other kids went to the playground. After the park, we helped Grandma clean up the yard in preparation for Christy's open house. Cailin found this hat in Christy's old room. Link thought this was helpful. As a treat, we went to Krispy Kreme! The kids have never had it, that I can remember. Posted by The Whetstone Family.

The Whetstone Family: August 2015
http://thewhetstonefamily.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2015. In July, Jason and I did a 10k- the Tiki Run! It was soooo hot and humid. They were telling us that we could downgrade to the 5k for free, but we were gluttons for punishment! My expectations were really low, since I had pretty much taken a month off running and it was hot as hades! It was not our best run at all, but we survived and didn't do too bad. Very very sweaty! Plus a beer, which we traded in for Sprites. Posted by The Whetstone Family. My phone app, at one point! The ne...

The Whetstone Family: Vacation Day 27--Drive to South Dakota
http://thewhetstonefamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/vacation-day-27-drive-to-south-dakota.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Vacation Day 27- Drive to South Dakota. After staying up waaay too late, we got up much to early to drive across Wyoming! Such a horribly boring state. We finally made it back to the Devil's Tower that evening. It was sunny this time! Lookin a little dazed. There were several rock climbers on this day. Something I would never in a million years do! This picture was from after lunch, before the tower. The prairie dogs were more active this day, too. You could hear them barking!

Friday, August 7, 2015. Vacation Day 13- Hogle Zoo. Our last day in Utah, we went to the Hogle Zoo with Jason's family. We met up with Grandma, Kim, and the kids there too. Cailin and Grandma both showed up with navy anchor pants! They had an animatronic dinosaur thing going on there. It was a very hot day! Sam stood under the mister pipe where is was dripping every now and then. That evening, Uncle Chris and Christina had a gender reveal party. It's a girl! Posted by The Whetstone Family.

The Whetstone Family: Vacation Day 11--Lagoon
http://thewhetstonefamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/vacation-day-11-lagoon.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. Vacation Day 11- Lagoon. Early Monday morning, Jason had to fly home. We were sad to see him go, but the kids didn't dwell on it long because we went to Lagoon! Ben went off with his cousins and uncles who finally persuaded him to go on the big roller coasters! He looks pretty pleased, heheh. We took him on the mini coaster. This is his "roller coaster face" that he says he made. As we were leaving late that night, it began to rain. This was Sam's solution. Maple Grove Days Parade.

BerginMania: Last Week
http://berginmania.blogspot.com/2011/08/last-week.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Because I'm not going to write this in my journal because I'm lazy, I'll record it here. Last week was a doozy! Tuesday - Earthquake- epicenter about 20 miles from my parents in Virginia. We felt it up here in NJ. Crazy! Wednesday - explained "where babies come from" to Lucy. She thought I was kidding. :) So funny. Friday- Prep prep prep for the impending hurricane. Stressful! No wonder I'm so tired. Glad it's over. Glad we all survived. God is good. BerginMania: June 2010
http://berginmania.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 27, 2010. So, we broke the Sabbath in a big way today. At least in my opinion. First, just let me say, that I'm not a "perfect" Sabbath Keeper, but I do try to limit our Sabbaths to attending church and staying at home as a family. I'm sure there's much more we can do and improve on. I'm going to be thankful that we do what we do for now. Why didn't I do that this time? When we got in the car to drive to the singles' branch (the singles branch meeting in the Sewell building so we were able t...

BerginMania: Lessons I'm Pondering and Learning
http://berginmania.blogspot.com/2011/05/lessons-im-pondering-and-learning.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Lessons I'm Pondering and Learning. I'm going through a growth spurt. I've been learning all sorts of lessons about myself and how God interacts with me.us, really. I don't know a lot yet. I'm still in a pondering phase. What have I been pondering? Godly emotions. Huh? Recently I found myself VERY disappointed in a situation. That sent me to ponder. How does Heavenly Father deal with His disappointment in me (us)? Then I thought, does God get disappointed in us? Leah and Bad Words.

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. An Experiment with Dinner. I get my best ideas in the shower. HA! Today I had the idea to give the kids a set amount of money each and they have to put together dinner. Everyone got $2, except Robbie who got $3 because he had the main course. So for just about $10. This was our dinner. Joey- side dishes- can of creamed corn and orange jello. Well, we didn't get home in time to make the Jello. Scratch. The can of creamed corn was opened by Joey using the super comp...Leah- des...
