Summer Cottage stands set back from a single track road in the crofting township of Roag, just three miles from the village of Dunvegan. There is excellent walking direct from the cottage. Quiet local roads lead to Ard Roag with its pebble beach, and Orbost, start of a fantastic coastal walk via MacLeod's Maidens sea stacks and on to the deserted settlement of Lorgill. Dunvegan is widely known for its castle and castle gardens, seat of Clan MacLeod, and the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland.
