Sunday, October 12, 2014. Discovering Our Creator in the Hedges. We start right at the beginning with the story of Creation. Last year as I searched for some hands on activities to do with my kids centered around creation, I ran across the idea of drawing the number for each day of creation and having the kids illustrate inside the number what God did that day. So my trusty assistant at the time made me some numbers that the kids could trace and away we went. He is mighty - he speaks and things happen.

Saturday, May 23, 2015. Stranger than a High Schooler and Other Admiring Notes. In every First Grade Teacher's Life there comes a moment when you have to make a choice - correcting the spelling or letting it go because it's just too funny to change. I chose poorly here because this note literally read,. Than a high schooler. Don't ask me why I didn't just focus on fixing the word "dear" and leave the rest of that awesomeness alone! Better than that might be the picture of the bulging bicep inside the card.

Monday, October 24, 2011. What happened to the good old apple for the teacher? What ever happened to the beautiful time honored tradition of placing an apple on your teacher's desk? In my classroom, it's been replaced by an ugly water scorpian placed lovingly on your teacher's desk. Way to give your teacher a heart attack! Is this because I rejected the fruit and sent it packing way back during Teacher's Appreciation Week of 2008? Oh if only I could have that banana back! Things that Make Me Laugh.

Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Targets, Ombre, Chevrons and All Things Crafty. Just thought I would post a few of my favorite recent card creations. I decided to use my circle dies to create a rainbow target and then pop a word out from the middle using the scripty thanks die from Lawn Fawn and a Hello die from Papertrey. I loved the way these turned out. Then I had a little ombre chevron action happening in these ones and used the same dies to cut out the words for these two cards. May 14, 2015 at 2:18:00 PM PDT.
