Both Sides of Heaven. After 24 weeks of praying, hoping, and breath holding, I am happy to report that Baby Ella has reached viability! It makes today’s news at 25W2D a bit more bearable because as my doctor says, “There is now something we can do about it.”. I have another doctor’s appointment and ultrasound next week to evaluate Ella’s progress. If need be, my doctor will hospitalize me. Ella is in good hands (and I don’t just mean my doctor). Continued prayers are much, much appreciated. April 28, 2010.

Both Sides of Heaven. What a pretty little girl! Ella weighs three pounds now! My doctor was planning on giving me steroids today (to develop her lungs), but she is doing so well that he doesn’t think she needs them. In the last three weeks, she has jumped from the 30th percentile to the 71st percentile (and her individual measurements are more uniform, except for her abdominal circumference which is now ABOVE AVERAGE). She no longer shows signs of IUGR! Doesn’t she appear to be smiling? May 19, 2010.
