Saturday, April 3, 2010. Like the desert needs the rain. I could not keep the stupid ball on the inclinometer in between the lines to save my soul! Only climbing at 800fpm? Is there something wrong with this thing? I still haven't done the paperwork to get the C210 in my license but the hard part is over and I had a great opportunity to add to my list of experiences here in Botswana. I had forgotten how much fun it can be to fly singles! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monkeying around at the airport.

We Four Bells: Spring is Here

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2012/04/spring-is-here.html

Sunday, April 15, 2012. Jon is in the middle of another trip so I am sharing some pictures to give him (and you all) a little glimpse of our week at home. Prescott, Joshua, and I went on a brief expedition to a nearby Nature Reserve that I've never been to before. Prescott had fun practicing his outside voice, climbing, peeing in the woods (one of his favorite new activities), and playing hide-and-seek with a rock he'd toss in random directions. Practicing the outside voice. Our toddler sized infant.

We Four Bells: March 2012

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. A few Joshua pictures. In the hospital, being held by Grandpa Steve. Joshua Steven Bell was born Feb 25 at 7:47pm. A big boy at 10 pounds, he is healthy and growing well. It took Prescott a few days to acclimate to the new addition, but he is now a doting big brother. He loves kissing his baby brother, holding Joshua's hand during diaper changes, and hearing stories about what he and Joshua are going to do together as they get bigger. A proud big brother. A few Joshua pictures.

We Four Bells: Happy Easter

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2012/04/happy-easter.html

Monday, April 9, 2012. Thanks to Auntie Ellen, Prescott had a magical Easter complete with egg hunt. With Jon away flying I wanted to share some pictures - thought you all might enjoy them as well. He was ecstatic. What kid wants eggs filled with chocolate when there are eggs filled with keys around? After emptying each egg he had quite a wad of keys. Trying out the keys. And Joshua enjoyed lots of hugs and attention all day. Joshua and his great grandma. Thanks for all your hard work Auntie Ellen!

We Four Bells: Prescott at 12 months...

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2011/07/prescott-at-12-months.html

Friday, July 1, 2011. Prescott at 12 months. Masimo's friends loving the handmade blocks from Grandpa Steve. He loves this pot - There are broken pieces of pottery inside and he loves taking them all out and then dropping them back in again. Exploring some of the 'sculptures' in our yard. Sand play - He loves shoveling but hasn't figured out how to get it off the shovel nicely yet. He either shakes the shovel to make a sand shower or holds his arm up in the air which dumps the contents over his head.

We Four Bells: December 2010

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 26, 2010. Tiger prawns, sand, and sunshine. Early in December we were thrilled to holiday in Mozambique. Our friends have friends with some beach houses on the Indian Ocean and we've been planning this visit for almost two years. It finally happened! Prescott did great. His favorite things were:. Getting to drive the truck with dad. Taking a bath (ie. getting muddy) while the we cooked and set up camp. Plastic bag streamers indicating cashews for sale. Our host (Chris) had three beach co...

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 1, 2011. Prescott in his regular place pushing the wagon as we go on our ritual pre-dinner walk. Stopping to check out a bug. Happy boy and beautiful sunset. There isn't anything quite like a Botswana sunset. Pointing at airplanes. He learned to point a few months ago just so he could point at planes, Jon is proud. :). Practicing scooping and pouring in his sandbox. Prescott at 12 months. Masimo's friends loving the handmade blocks from Grandpa Steve. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

We Four Bells: June 2011

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 1, 2011. We enjoyed the baked goods outside along with apple cider (can you tell it is fall here? It was a beautiful morning and Prescott had a very nice time. well, as nice as it gets for very shy little boys with parties thrown for them. Naturally, Jon and I didn't take any pictures of Prescott's party. Thanks to our friend, Teresa, for all of our party documentation. Friends around the fire. The birthday boy enjoying his new Setswana book with Jon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

We Four Bells: Catching Up...

http://jonandalysa.blogspot.com/2012/03/catching-up.html

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. The past six months have seen a lot of change for the three of us. In September we moved back to the US to be closer to family. Jon started a job as a pilot with Skywest Airlines. Prescott riding his hippo before we left Bots. Washing cranberries for Thanksgiving cranberry sauce. Cousins, Prescott and Parker, under the Christmas tree. Sharing some Christmas love. The Bell cousins at Christmas. Kristin Devine Mueller said. How close are you? Can we get together?

Wednesday, June 11, 2014. One of our church young ladies was married a couple weeks ago. Here are Baagisi, Onkutlule and their wedding party. About to enter the wedding tent. A few weeks ago we saw this. Hippo at a waterhole in Moremi Game Reserve. At the river in Maun some of the guys are trying their luck at fishing. When visiting with the other missionaries I often find that Friday evening is homemade Pizza night. We enjoyed these in the Davis home a few weeks ago. Here is Oosi about to be baptized.
