As my sewing machine is old and the tension is so bad, I am sometimes driven to handstitching or cursing at the machine while accomplishing nothing. There is a slight possibility this is my fault. Wednesday, January 31, 2007. One's been in a cookbook I've had for years, The Bold Vegetarian. The book itself is more bubble bath than food stained. There are some markers that are sun bleached they've been sticking out from the top for so long. I'm not even sure when I decided I wanted to make Halwa. Since it's a simple, healthy dessert choice I'm not surprised I singled it out. But this girl always decided to make cupcakes instead. Add carrots, cranberries and pistachios and cook for 24-30 minutes.

Anytime can be SAMMICH time! I love sammiches. on crusssty bread. I love critters who love each other. 2 honky brothers, in this case. Went into it, but I'll try to make a few edumacated guesses: onions, corn, sundried tomatoes, bread crumbs, oregano, a layer of red pepper/cashew "cheese", and a couple of other veggies that have slipped my mind. Not a pretty picture, but you can pretend to salivate anyway. Roasted red pepper, marinated shiitake, and lettuce norimaki.
