Q: who is she? Two years ago, in ordinary time. Tonight i passed up drinking with coworkers at my favorite bar for a run in the rain followed by a warm shower and movie watching in bed. and i’m feeling pretty good about the decision. The darkness is slowly fading away and it’s still light out at 11pm at least. Anyway, im exhausted and i’m going to bed. at 930pm. because thats how i roll. Who knows where i'll be when i look back on this post a year or two from now. Oh, so sorry that you miss Alaska so muc...

Q: who is she? I ask, you smile. Its the song that reminds me of you. You're driving my car, slower than i would. It's late. 2 or 3 in the morning, but we've lost track of time zones. We seem to be the only ones on this long stretch of road, so late at night. The only lights besides from the car are the millions of stars up above. It almost looks fake. I roll the window down. I have decided not to expect so much. i am not going to resolve to do anything. i am not going to hope this or that happens. i am not even going to imagine that this year is going to be anything special at all. the way i figure: pleasantly surprised is so much nicer than sorely disappointed. But i know better. I hate making resolutions. i feel they are often forced and never, ever get accomplished. but i will do it anyway, because what the hell, you never know.
