Did you know this is how a pohutukawa flower opens? Well, I didn't. Shot using 105mm micro. Saturday, December 8. I don't normally use this aspect ratio (1:2.5) but it was one of the standard settings in Lightroom. It would be a tad shorter (horizontally) than the 6x17 panoramic cameras. Thursday, November 8.

Bottom of the Barrel. Photos and other personal rants. Monday, October 31. It was the 22nd of December. I had parted with my friend earlier that day, and was driving alone towards the Arthur's Pass village that evening. The storm, somewhat typical of the West Coast was brewing and the day was getting late. I stopped on the way and snapped this. The camera got quite wet from this shot. Kawakawa Sunset, #3. The same evening as #1. Adjusted curve to make everything look a bit softer. And that's it, folks!

The main challenge was keeping the camera not-so-wet. (If you look closely at the big dish, you can see the rain drops.). Saturday, March 26. It's a photograph of the carpet at a bakery/cafe in Whangarei. It's difficult to see, but if you look closer, there's a sparrow in here somewhere. Thursday, March 24. A (bad) study in cropping.
