Sunday, May 16, 2010. My classmates and I went down to the market to eat meat. The system in Meat Alley is amazing. You order your meat, onions and chiles from the vendors and they stick it on their grill. Chiles and meat live on top of the grill. While the onions sit on the smoldering wood. Don't forget the goodies! When it arrives at your table in a paper lined basket it's smells like magic and tastes even better. Everyone is happy on meat Monday. We devoured our kilos and missed them immediately.

Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Commencing countdown, engines on. A little over 2 weeks and I'll be home! I'm looking forward to so many things but mostly just the 3 F's, family, friends and food. It's weird that I feel the urge to drive, especially since my last residence was my car and in LA, no less. Once I pry the keys from Siobhan's clenched fist I'll be listening to this on repeat. I remember meeting her at Ernie's for the first time and falling in love with her immediately. I remember being sad that Ernie was giving her up and feeling frustrated that Eric wouldn't let me take her.
