Saturday, August 30, 2014. Heading North toward Nags Head (great names out here), we set out for Kill Devil Hills and the Wright Brother’s National Monument. While everyone knows the Wright Brothers and the alleged first manned flight, we learned a great deal more about what happened out here on the mounds at Kitty Hawk on December 17, 1903. Sunday, November 23, 2014. While the dust settles a bit on Colectiva, we finally found the time to visit a Vegas icon that we had on our “to do” list for quite some time. Near Cashman Field on Las Vegas Boulevard sits the old check in lobby from the La Concha Hotel, which now houses the visitor center for The Neon Museum of Las Vegas. Wednesday, April 1, 2015. All good - back in Vegas for a bit. We took the long way back to Vegas, avoiding the I-15 and driving mostly two lane highways. It added an hour to the drive, but the roads and scenery were new to us, and there was virtually no traffic. Other than the fatigue of having only 4 hours or so of sleep, it was a very pleasant drive. As I stared into the empty hole, I could see the mangled fill tube deep in the recesses. I have no idea what it will take to fix that! Talk to you soon!

Sunday, March 30, 2014. Padre Island National Seashore. About 15 miles south of the causeway coming out from Corpus Christi is the northern tip of the Padre Island National Seashore. We drive this road each time we visit Corpus Christi for supplies or entertainment, and picked today to pay a visit.
