Clay, we do not have very good percolation or the ability of handling so much moisture. Established in 1920 Boulder, Colorado. September 22, 2010. This year we started the process on greens with a layer of sand (topdressing) then proceeded with a solid deep tine aerification. The deep tine was penetrating approximately 7 inches deep. To smooth the surface we rolled the greens. After waiting until the sand was dry, we then dragged the sand into the ¾ inch holes.
