Friday, 6 June 2008. Overdose of sweet from coconut honey. When I take home a can of coconut milk, it's almost always with the thought ' I have no idea where it's going to take me this time. Sorry if I'm making it sound like an adventure story. But guessing where the canful will eventually end up is like guessing where Indiana Jones will find himself after climbing down a suspicious ladder. Poor coconut milk found itself in a jar. This time, stuck in there together with some sticky good. 3 dl coconut milk.

Well, I'd like to nibble on some flavoured chocolate. Or have chocolate omelette. For breakfast from time to time, but a c heesecake/apple cake/another good cake. Will always stand above chocolate cakes in my top 10. Regular chocolate cakes don't really attract me that much, BUT. It has to confuse. Barley flour's got my soul now. 2 dl barley flour.

Sunday, 23 November 2014. Honestly, I never even considered trying to tackle such a dish as Pad Thai before reading about it in Matthew Amster-Burton's Hungry Monkey. But now it's become something that I find relatively easy and enjoy doing. 200 g (6-7 oz) rice noodles. 30 g (1 oz) tamarind paste. 10 g (0.4 oz) palm sugar. 1 dL (0.4 cup) boiling water. 30 mL (1 oz) peanut oil. 15 tbsp fish sauce. 2 tsp rice vinegar. Fresh coriander leaves, chopped. Fresh green chillies, chopped. Tofu, sliced and fried.
