Monday, November 4, 2013. Self Pity Be Damned. Last year in November I went through Thanksgiving (was supposed to be the whole month) with a "thankful for" every day. While it shouldn't be so difficult to come up with something I am thankful for every day, it truly was hard. I really appreciated the challenge for that reason. With that said, I don't intend on taking this challenge again. Except one, this is a story I don't tell often. You will see why as you read on. So at midnight I cried, of course!

As a gift to each of our kids they know that on their 16th birthday they get to go anywhere in the US for a vacation with no siblings. Just Mom and Dad (and in this case.Grandma and Papa). Bailey's birthday party was in Kauai, HI! What a lucky little girl, because let me just tell you.Hawaii is one of the most amazing places I have ever been! Sunday, November 13, 2011. Family Pumpkin Carving Night. Starting by empting the guts. Was always a problem for me as a kid, EW, but not these girls.they love it. Tenley quickly got bored with carving pumpkins and went to watch Beetle Juice instead. Once they were empty the kids picked a design and started carving. Bailey couldn't find a design she liked. This is her and Uncle Derek designing the perfect pumpkin for her. And then it was time to carve! Now THIS part I always enjoyed! To see the witches.
