Not too many Canadian baseball players got the attention of National League or American League baseball teams in the 1960s. But one Bourkevale ball player managed to catch the eye of a National League franchise in the mid-1960s. Gord Sinclair Jr., who grew up on Douglas Park Road, got his start in baseball as a 14-year-old playing for the Bourkevale Pony League in the early 1960s.
