Bowderbeck is in an idyllic, peaceful spot looking out over the valley yet only a leisurely 10 minute walk down a bridleway to Buttermere village or the lakeshore. In the village there are 2 traditional pubs and 2 cafes serving proper coffee and ice creams. Even if you're not keen on climbing mountains, there is so much to do in the local area.
