He is an old hat at homeschool and actually prefers it to regular school. Our last trip on a boat took him to the Bahamas and he would love to go there again. If there was one place everyone we talked to about the keys said to go, it was Marathon. "We loved Marathon", "you gotta go to Marathon", "we stayed in Marathon a month", etc., etc., but we don't get it. It's nice enough and I. Anyway, 2 days later we are off to Bahia Honda Key where there is supposedly a nice beach. We'll let you know.

I am so far behind in updates to the blog because I cant get reception on my Mac at the boat; I have to go up to the marina office and camp out at a table or inside. Needless to say, with school having started that doesnt happen very often. So this a quick recap of our trip from North Carolina to where we are now in Hayes, VA (near Yorktown and Jamestown).

We took a couple of days to get out of the Bahamas, trying to avoid squalls because of the hard rain and strong and squirrely wind they bring. We did manage to avoid most of them and afterword we saw some beautiful rainbows (we stopped counting how many) and some amazing views of the sky:.
