Bpeace in Rwanda

Anne, Cari, Delilah, Jita, Kate, Marla, Maureen and Peter in Rwanda- August-September 2005. Wednesday, September 07, 2005. Re-reading our own blog, the team is amazed at how much can be accomplished when a small group of business-minded people put their minds and hearts toward a goal. We have much to do coming out of the trip and a great deal to share with the many other Rwandan team members on September 28th. We look forward to presenting our report and working toward Rwanda's future together. The caret...

Anne, Cari, Delilah, Jita, Kate, Marla, Maureen and Peter in Rwanda- August-September 2005. Sunday, September 04, 2005. Our first visit was to the young women of the Dian Fossey center. They had learned painting and were doing crochet projects for sale at the local market. The fact that it took a crocheter over a day to complete an item she could sell for just $1.00 did not seem to deter her. Once the cost of the yarn was deducted, the crocheter would net approximately $.65. Comments: Post a Comment.

Anne, Cari, Delilah, Jita, Kate, Marla, Maureen and Peter in Rwanda- August-September 2005. Sunday, September 04, 2005. After an exceptionally bumpy detour to see a bee-keeping project run by the Dian Fossey center, it was off to Gisenyi to meet with the AVEGA women. This group is part of the national association but runs its center independently. These women are of all ages and are in much worse financial condition than those at the other AVEGA locations - but their center is large and clean. My reflect...

Bpeace in Rwanda September 2007

Wednesday, September 19, 2007. Welcome and thanks for stopping. This diary records the remarkable professional and profound personal experiences of Bpeace volunteers during our September 2007 mission to Rwanda, a country we return to again and again. 16 to 18 hour work days, punctuated by joyful, often exhausted and sometimes silly team moments are what make up a Bpeace mission. Sunday, September 16, 2007. This is not about gorillas . . . Saturday, September 15, 2007. Rhythm of Rwanda : Finding home.
