He says the announcers are annoying. They used to have heart, discussing human interest stories about the players - but now they only spout statistics and repeat them frequently. Instead of romantic or evocative names, our arenas are now named after corporations. Advertising is creeping into every aspect of human life. Are we more insensitive?
