My story of getting braces for the second time at age 37. Thursday, November 18, 2010. Because the bands are thinner, they cause less pressure. Additionally, because the pressure is spread out over the entire side of my mouth, it is causing less pain. We moved my next appointment up so that it is in three weeks so we can see if I can go back to the "Kens" as they are the recommended size. Here is a picture of the differences.the Ken is the little one, while Louie is bigger. Sorry about the chapped lips).

Well I have some awesome news.after 580 days I finally got the news I've been waiting for.THE BRACES ARE COMING OFF! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE BRACES ARE COMING OFF! I'm so relieved. The last few weeks have been tough, trying to do the final tweaks.but yesterday I was given my 'parole' date, November 9th! I'm so excited, over the moon. Week 83- Look how beautiful! I've found the orange chains are not too resilliant, if you stretch them, they do not go back tight to the wires. I have a bit of extra flopping around now in back. Blech.
