I can't actually eat or put pressure on them, but that's because things are being pushed and pulled at. It really isn't so bad now though. Nothing like I expected. A not-so-brief encounter with the train tracks! Thursday, 10 July 2008. I'd like to thank the man who commented on the blog. It was really nice comment, about 'rare' society, HM sufferers. I am also going to take this post and say something about Hemifacial Microsomia. Some doctors thought I may have had cerebral palsy, but my mum knew better (I was suckling OK) and eventually a junior doctor realised what I had, to be confirmed by a well-known senior. A not-so-brief encounter with the train tracks! Thursday, 10 July 2008. Something is weird in these lavatories. I was in the loo - as you do - after dinner. Because it was after dinner, and I'd had pasta with herbs, I decided to get the pencil case of stuff out and get to work brushing my teeth and braces. 5 people were in those loos. 3 glanced over to me JUST as I looked up, causing me to make eye contact and them to go slightly red. 2 STARED at me. A not-so-brief encounter with the train tracks! Friday, 4 July 2008. My ballsed up face! This is me with the braces on. Note one side of my face is smaller; that's the hemifacial microsomia! I was born, in 1952, with Hemifacial Microsomia also. In my case it effected my right side and I was born without an ear. Otherwise the other problems associated with HM were not too bad but still noticible. For the most part it hasn't interferred with my life or health. 8 July 2008 at 16:33. Side view of my teeth.
