The Joy of it All. Saturday, February 28, 2009. San Marcos in a Chili's? A couple of weeks ago I went out to lunch at Chili's with Jennie and her mom. As I'm sitting in the booth waiting for them I look up and see a sign that's posted on the wall in the waiting area. I couldn't believe my eyes! It was a sign for the San Marcos chili cook-off! Before Kristi started serving there a few months ago I'd never heard of San Marcos Texas! So of course we had to get a picture to send her! San Marcos in a Chilis?

The Joy of it All. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Our beautiful new bathroom! Kurt and I took advantage of the empty nest we had for a little while and completely renovated the hall bathroom. We ripped out everything except the bathtub and the tile around it. It took a lot of time and hard work, but it was so worth it! The before- a dated, functional, but not pretty bathroom. The gutted bathroom- pulling up the old linoleum and scraping off all the glue was quite a chore. The finished bathroom- a big change!

Thursday, January 21, 2010. I think Eden and Brea look so similar to each other! Brea definitely scored in the hair department. She has this sweet little faux-hawk and her hair is still pretty dark. The Joy of it All. Thursday, October 2, 2008. Almost an Empty Nest. So, my last little chickadee is about to fly away from the nest on Monday. I'm not sure how I really feel about this. Yes, I'm thrilled that she and Kevin have made the decision to serve the Lord and will be off in far parts of the US and the world, but I'll sure miss having my nest full, loud, and always busy! Now the mama bird will have to find other things to define herself. Hmmmmm. I've been "mom" so long- who will I be now?
