The Shley's Blog: July 2015
http://theshleysblog.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. May the 4th - be with you! The geek is strong with this one! Imagine going from being completely immersed in Harry Potter's world, to DisneyWorld, then to the Marvel universe for a solid day, then jump into Star Wars. Yes, yes, I am know as an uber fan… or something less healthy. Haha. At least the Star Wars activity was for a 5k, which actually involved physical activity! I figure that if anyone has a mohawk, it would be a Jedi! Are you kidding, we did so much walking! Cheese On B...

The Shley's Blog: February 2014
http://theshleysblog.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 20, 2014. The grass is always greener. With graduation and starting my first real job, I've upgraded to my own little condo. I must say, I enjoy my own happy little routine, and for the most part I really enjoy being a single lady. What's not to like? I can binge watch an entire season of House of Cards over President's Day weekend without anyone mocking me, or begging "please Netflix, don't start the next episode! Taxes Who knew that the government likes money? Well, I guess that's a ...

The Shley's Blog: December 2014
http://theshleysblog.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. I started off November with the Moustache Dache, a 5k down at Thanksgiving point. The morning was crispy chilly, making it my first real cold weather run. It was pretty fun running in hat and gloves, instead of being hot and nasty in the middle of the summer! Me and the ladies with our medals and 'staches! Just running through Thanksgiving point. I'm starting up a collection of race paraphernalia. Check out my bull ride! Cooking was a bit of a family project with my dad cooking...

Kaid and Jenny: January 2015
http://kaidandjenny.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. Walking like a boss! Somebody decided that he wanted to start walking, and it has been pretty exciting around our house. Also, Jack absolutely LOVES to play peek a boo. Sorry you get a nice view of Kaid's butt at the end, but the laugh is killer so I couldn't cut it out. He is walking more and more now and is really comfortable with it. He still needs to stand up against something/someone to get started, but then he can walk the whole length of our apartment! I have some friends...

Kaid and Jenny: May 2015
http://kaidandjenny.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. My landlord bought this playard last year and always wanted Jack to play in it.but he hated it! He always wanted to get out and we would usually just play on a blanket instead. Fast forward to this summer, and Becca spends a lot of time in that thing. And since she was in it, Jack always wanted to be as well. Haha. Usually he was pretty good, but we definitely had to take him out a few times for being too rough with Becca. Ice cream at Kimball Farm with daddy. It only lasted 10 minu...

Kaid and Jenny: The Freedom Trail
http://kaidandjenny.blogspot.com/2013/06/freedom-trail.html
Saturday, June 15, 2013. At the end of April/beginning of May, some of my family came out to visit. We were finally able to get out and do a lot of sight seeing and it was so fun! We had a full house for a week, but it was so nice to have family around. Kaid could only join us some of the time, we are taking some other vacations this year, so he tried to work as much as he could. We started out with the Freedom Trail and Harvard Yard. Monument to the 54th Regiment of the Civil War in Boston Common. The n...

Kaid and Jenny: March 2015
http://kaidandjenny.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Paint Corner Art Bar. Have you ever heard of these paint nights? You show up, and everything is provided for you to paint your very own painting. They give you a canvas, easel, paint brushes, paints, apron, everything! There is an instructor, and everyone in the class paints the same thing together. I have been wanting to do something like this for a long time! I finally decided I just needed to go ahead and organize a night out with friends! We inherited this cozy coupe from a f...

Kaid and Jenny: November 2014
http://kaidandjenny.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 16, 2014. Kaid and Jack's birthday. Since my two boys share a birthday, and Jack was turning one, we decided two parties weren't enough.so we had a party with our Boston friends on the actual day. November 15th has been a great day in our family so far! We started the day off with Jack opening his presents from us, and it was so much fun. He is hilarious and loves to rip open presents! I love his face in this picture! He destroyed that cupcake! It was really fun to celebrate with friends!

Kaid and Jenny: September 2014
http://kaidandjenny.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. I get a goofy grin on my face every time I look over and Jack is just looking through a book.and it happens all the time! I love that he loves books! I hope that stays with him! This kid loves his bath time! Kaid and I have both tried it and we hate the sensation, so we're not sure why he likes it so much! I love to sneak in and watch him sleep. He always looks so peaceful and I love how he sleeps with his little bum in the air. :). My boys sporting their Cougar gear. We got ...

The Shley's Blog: May 2015
http://theshleysblog.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. A while back someone asked me if I was excited about the new Avenger's movie. I smiled, and told them "yes, definitely." That was a bit of an understatement. Two months ago while looking ahead at purchasing tickets, I discovered Megaplex was hosting a marathon in anticipation of the Marvel blockbuster. I'm no stranger to theater-hosted marathons, my first introduction to the phenomenon being the Hobbit marathon. First thing when we walked in, they gave us these helpful lanyards....
