Brain Cell Exercises: November 2008
http://braincellexercises.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2008. When Procrastination Gets the Better of Me. I'm in the middle of several deadlines - a questionnaire for a bank perception audit and a publicity proposal for an upscale company, to name a few - and I'm writing a blog. So what the hell am I doing writing a blog in the middle of crunchtime? Beats me. Only that I need something non-work related to do while I'm trying to compose my thoughts. So what do I do as manager for editorial services? Of course, that was meant as a joke.
Brain Cell Exercises: October 2008
http://braincellexercises.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2008. I guess this is it: I'm finally going to Manila come November 1! My new office just found a place for me in Sta. Ana, Manila. I'll have to share the CR with another person, but at least I'll have a room all to myself. And it's in the city of Manila where I grew up. Thus, it's back to Mayor Lim's jurisdiction for me. In the true essence of Lilo's and Stitch's. No one gets left behind. I'm going to make sure that the city doesn't eat me alive this time, come Hell or high waters.
Brain Cell Exercises: June 2008
http://braincellexercises.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 27, 2008. I've been very busy the past few days at work and with my family life that several recent issues have passed me by already. I have yet to come up with a piece regarding the Ces Drilon hostage crisis, and then the sinking of the M/V Princess of the Stars happens. Here's the entire article from Economist.com. It's still lacking in details, but it captures the thought of how grossly mismanaged our local shipping industry is:. The Philippine Ferry Disaster: Those in Peril. Human failin...
Brain Cell Exercises: An Expert Talks on Unemployment
http://braincellexercises.blogspot.com/2009/03/expert-talks-on-unemployment.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. An Expert Talks on Unemployment. The way people discuss the topic unemployment holds just as much appeal as discussing the topic of some airborne virus threatening to wipe out all of humanity. I don't blame all the naysayers of the concept of unemployment, though. Many horror stories are attached to it, some of them even ending with the loss of lives. However, I have yet to encounter a topic discussing the advantages unemployment can bring to one's life. Thinking on one's feet.
Brain Cell Exercises: August 2008
http://braincellexercises.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. For some strange reason, I am suddenly pining for my alma mater, the Manila Science High School. Lord knows why I'm feeling this way. I remember almost barfing at the mere mention of my high school just exactly after graduation. But now. It was already difficult as it was to be a teenager at during those days. I then added the perennial nail to my personal crucifix of teenage woes by deciding on getting myself enrolled in MaSci - as we fondly call our high school. 2 MaSci was cl...

Scribbler's Smorgasbord: February 2013
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Thursday, February 28, 2013. I've been experiencing eustress since the start of 2013, what with wedding preparations and house tripping schedules. I must have been too caught up with these two that I tend to forget to just relax and perhaps de-stress. My time and moolah still could not afford me to go to my next dream PH travel destination; but I did not bat eyelashes at the thought of getting up close and personal with the butanding. Yes, that big. Check out the rainbow!
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: Here comes the rain again
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2014/08/here-comes-rain-again.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Thursday, August 28, 2014. Here comes the rain again. He stopped one house before mine. He thanked me for giving him 20 bucks more. No, thank you for driving me home safely. I reached for the towel and texted him the usual Im-home-love. But he is far away. And he probably feels cold as I do now too. Sighs, rain. Why do you have to make lonely nights colder? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I tend to develop an obsession for people I find really, really interesting....
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: Five things you should never say to a pregnant woman (like me)
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2015/03/five-things-you-should-never-say-to.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Five things you should never say to a pregnant woman (like me). Now on my third trimester. I am loving this bumpy ride! Your belly looks bigger than it seems. You see, I've been blessed with sexy curves before sporting this sexy bump, you know. :). 2 You can't eat/drink this. 3 You can't do this/that. Just like being told what to and not to put in my mouth, I get annoyed being told what activities to stop doing just because I am pregnant. Aga...
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: Makeover Saturday
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2013/05/makeover-saturday.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Thursday, May 30, 2013. I confess I suck at putting on makeup. I get clueless finding out which brush goes with what and playing with different colors of an eyeshadow palette scares me. Maybe this is now an aftermath of my nonchalance with makeup back in my teenage years. While my girlfriends dusted their faces thick with foundation and colored their lips pink in college, I was happy au naturel. I sat there for what seemed like light years, the makeup artist keeping me f...
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: July 2012
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Friday, July 20, 2012. Up high in Tagaytay. Ready with a good camera; a pen and notepad for scribbling random thoughts, and a buddy with a devil-may-care travelling attitude, of course, spur-of-the-moment trips can sometimes be more fun and exciting than the ones you plan. My good friend Rhea and I have been planning to go to Vigan for the weekend but upon learning that the universe did not conspire to make the plan happen (yet), we opted to go to Tagaytay instead. The g...
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: Love in the time of disaster
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2013/10/love-in-time-of-disaster.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Love in the time of disaster. When I visited them for the first time since the earthquake, I found they were not given their relief goods because 'they could no longer vote'. I'm casting aside my outrage at this utter disrespect to my grandparents, senior citizens who deserve to be given utmost attention and courtesy especially at this time of need. Scribbler's Smorgasbord: September 2012
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Plagiarism and the pathetic politician. Tito Sotto is at it again. The last part of his 'turno en contra' Tagalog speech against the RH bill on Aug 29 turned out to have been a translation of a speech delivered by the late US senator Robert Kennedy. Ooops, he did it again! According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, you commit plagiarism if you commit any of the following:. Steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own.
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: May 2012
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Saturday, May 26, 2012. Img source: http:/ goo.gl/9vKFE. 1 Ladies, if you suspect or catch your partner cheating on you, never confront the other woman. Yes, I've been cheated on twice in my past relationships and yes, it hurt big time. And if you ask me if I’ve been in that spot when the other woman was willing to play second fiddle to me, believe me, you have no idea. Confront the other woman? And what, waste my time? Img source: http:/ goo.gl/1MGul. I tend to develop ...
Scribbler's Smorgasbord: December 2012
http://graysey.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Smoking. Smoldering. Sensational. Sunday, December 9, 2012. Boo I had been too lazy to update my blog for the past few weeks. I know that a lack of inspiration is not an excuse, so if you've been visiting my page and found that there's nothing new to read, my bad! And with the beautiful sun rising up again and our spirits always high, there was no stopping our office Christmas party from happening. This year, we went for the Cosplay theme. There are not a lot of cosplay rentals here in Cebu; and the few ...

Brain Cell Exercises
Thursday, October 15, 2009. It's been so long since I've been able to post something on my long-neglected Multiply blog, but something online just caught my eye, I simply had to relate it. To all fans of the Nickelodeon hit,. Avatar: the Last Airbender. Next, the CG effects are sure to be spectacular for this movie. In the trailer, a hooded person (presumably Aang) is seen doing an elaborate. But heck, it's one thing to read about it, it's another thing to watch it yourself. Thus, go to this link. Will r...
