Game Musings: August 2014
http://passfieldgames.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A look at the games industry by a veteran game developer. Tuesday, August 12, 2014. How I made a game with my kids - the making of Beetastic. When my daughter Ella was eight years old we made an iPhone App together called Silly Snaps. I proposed that they make a game together and split the royalties. Who knows, they might end up with another $60 and they might also learn a thing or two at the same time. I run a games accelerator where we help get indie games to market. From this I realise that scopin...

http://passfieldgames.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
A look at the games industry by a veteran game developer. Friday, February 27, 2009. Busy, busy, busy! I've been hard at work on Brainiversity 2. It's shaping up really well and has some brand new features that weren't in the original. It's playable now and we will have a version to show people very soon. This weekend I'm taking my daughter to stay overnight with Nanna and visit her cousins. Should be fun! Sunday, February 22, 2009. However some developers aren't happy with the 99c price point. I must ad...

http://passfieldgames.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
A look at the games industry by a veteran game developer. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. I've been playing GTA: Chinatown Wars on my DS for the last week and have been really enjoying it. It's the perfect game to play for a few minutes here and there. In fact, it seems like the perfect game to play on your iPhone. Has a review of a GTA-like game for the iPhone called Car Jack Streets. It was developed by Tag Games. Sunday, April 26, 2009. The revamped Facebook version of Brainiversity. So over the last 6 weeks...

Game Musings: December 2008
http://passfieldgames.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
A look at the games industry by a veteran game developer. Monday, December 29, 2008. I'm having a fun time converting Brainiversity from ActionScript 2.0 to ActionScript 3.0. There are a lot of little things that are different between the two versions, so I have a bit of work to do to get things up and running again. Oh, and I'm loving the iMac even more. Being able to see my Flash screen layout AND my Actionscript code at the same time is awesome. I love 24 inch monitors! Thursday, December 25, 2008.

Game Musings: March 2009
http://passfieldgames.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
A look at the games industry by a veteran game developer. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Great News For Social Game Developers. Facebook and Adobe have partnered to create Facebook platform libraries for Flash. Basically this makes it a lot easier for developers to plug the Facebook platform into their Flash games - which takes a lot of the burden from the developer in terms of managing friends lists, avatar/user images, etc. and lets them focus on making great games. You can find out more here. It will be int...

Thursday, 29 May 2008. Real Life vs Virtual Life. I stumbled upon an interesting site called G4. They happen to found an interesting pic at this place. I thought it was amusing :) Click the image for larger view, enjoy. Kids today are probably helping each socially with their homework, rather than just doing it alone. Not sure if that is a bad thing. Posted by Paul Burden. Wednesday, 28 May 2008. Links to various development documentation. Posted by Paul Burden. Nothing else to do. You start getting requ...
