My personal brain surgery recovery journal. Sunday, May 29, 2011. I joined a Brain Tumor Support Group in Northridge, California. I listened as other patients in varying states of trauma and recovery shared experiences that I could relate to. True kindred spirits! One woman even had her brain tumor removed at the same hospital that I went to, not by the same surgeon though. A day after submission of the application, I got an email from the local field office asking me to send in my medical records. Since I recently was handed two hundred pages of records, I made an appointment to come in and have them copied into my file. The kind gentleman at the Social Security office asked if I was "terminal." Why was he asking if I was an airplane terminal? Move It or Lose It.
