BrainWeb: Anatomical Model of MS Lesion Brain. This "phantom" (anatomical model) represents a human brain with "moderate" MS lesions. It was used for generating the pre-computed data available (since Jan 1997) in the MS lesion simulated brain database (SBD). There are two other MS "phantoms" (anatomical models): one with "mild" MS lesions. And one with "severe" MS lesions. However, these two models are only used for the BrainWeb custom MRI simulations. BrainWeb: Anatomical Model of Normal Brain. In addition to the fuzzy tissue membership volumes, a discrete anatomical model is provided which consists of a class label (integer) at each voxel, representing the tissue which contributes the most to that voxel (0=Background, 1=CSF, 2=Grey Matter, 3=White Matter, 4=Fat, 5=Muscle/Skin, 6=Skin, 7=Skull, 8=Glial Matter, 9=Connective).
