June 11, 2009. 요즘들어 내 삶에 가장 시급한 일 중에 하나가 바로 새 룸메이트를 찾는 일이다. 2명의 룸메이트 중 한명이 결혼으로 인해 집을 나갔기 때문이다. 같은 교회 다니는 (그것도 같은 청년부 임원들) 형제들로 구성된 우리 집에는 늘 교회사람들로 북적인다. 특히 내가 맡고 있는 목장의 목원들은 네번째 룸메이트들이라해도 과언이 아닐 정도이다. 그도 그런 것이, 이 집으로 이사오기로결정한 이유부터가 바로 교회 근처에 이사를 가서 많은 청년부의 지체들을 위해 집을 오픈하기 위해서였으니까. 오늘 첫번째 사람이 방을 보러 온다. 주님께서 인도해주시기를. 내 속엔 내가 너무도 많아 →. May 15, 2009. 처음 UFC 게임을 시청했을 때를 기억한다. 경기는 너무 파격적이었고 잔인하게까지 느껴졌다. 마치 영화에서나 볼듯한 철장 속에서의 난투였다. 그러한 경기를 무척이나 즐겁다는 듯이 즐겨보는 남녀노소로 이루어진 관객들을 보면서 좀더 자극적이고 파격적인 것을 갈망하는 인간의 완악함이 너무 잔인하게 느껴졌었다. 그것이 우리 안에 있는 죄성이 아닌가 생각하며 점점 악해가는 이 세상에 대해 한탄했던 것 같다. Discovering clues of life one post at a time. September 19, 2009. September 19, 2009. 오늘은 동족상잔 수준의 글을 쓸까 한다. 대한민국의 씩씩한 남자로 태어나 30여년을 살아온 내가 오늘은 또 다른 남자들에 대한 냉철한 비평을 하려한다. (나의 원래 성격은 긍정적에다 낙천적이기까지한데 이상하게도 왜 글을 쓸때는 비평하는 글이 잘써지는 걸까. 흠). 세상엔 참 많은 종류의 사람들이 있다. 아마도 하나님의 무궁무진한 창의력과 창작력으로 인한 결과가 아닐까 싶다. 비슷한 사람들은 종종 있지만 같은 사람은 하나도 없다. 그렇기에 사람들을 정확히 분류시키는 자체가 불가능한 일일지도 모르겠다. 그래서 가끔은 이해를 돕기 위해 좀 극단적으로 생각해볼 필요가 있다. 세상엔 두 종류의 사람이 있다. 남자와 여자이다. 세상엔 두 종류의 남자가 있다. 담백한 남자와 느끼한 남자. 느끼한 남자의 근본원인은 여러가지가 있을거라 추측해본다. 2 though...

August 8, 2009. 사람들은 자신에게 시급하거나 중요한 필요가 있을때 도움을 청한다. 하지만 정작 누군가가 도움을 필요로 할때는 자신의 우선순위를 먼저 돌아보고나서 결정하는 것 같다. 만약 우리의 삶을 give and take 방식으로 점수를 매겨본다면 우리는 아마 give 보다는 take를 훨씬 많이하며 살고 있을 것이다. 왜 그럴까? 어떻게 이러한 불균형을 바로 잡을 수 있을까? 만약 세상의 많은 사람들이 모두 give and take take take 의 삶을 산다면. 누군가는 give give give and take의 삶을 살아야 할 것이다. 난 늘 내가 전자가 될까 겁이 난다 그래서 내가 꼭 후자가 되길 간절히 기도하고 노력한다. 내 속엔 내가 너무도 많아. 담백함과 느끼함 →.
