Tuesday, August 21, 2012. July was hot, and long and sucky on many levels. John was gone most of it. Don't have many pics, as I don't always drag my big heavy camera along to the parks and playdates and such. But I do need to do it more often. One of the times I did, was this one. I met with a friend at the capitol grounds and had a picnic. Our kids played and the boys had sword fights with sticks. I love boys! So easily entertained. But the humidity kept fogging up my lens! So all my pics are soft.

Friday, September 19, 2014. FIAR: Week 2: Grandfather's Journey and what Madison is up to this year. I don't know what I would do without the internet, but I know people homeschooled successfully before it existed, so I guess I could. So this was my basic plan for the week:. Learn about Japan/continents- use cloth map, japan book, nat geo site, virtual village video,. Look up Japan in atlas. Color old man picture, and discuss/color printout of japan items. Days in a week/month - using cereal on a calendar.

Saturday, November 17, 2012. Madison made my cake from scratch in September for my birthday, and it was honestly the best chocolate cake I have ever had. John wasn't home but it was still a good day got my car detailed and my hair done and ate good food. I have lost 10 lbs so far. Madison and I did our 2nd 5k, The Boo Run. It was fun, but I walked almost the whole thing. I am training to run one by myself in the spring. I can't wait! Halloween was good, simple and fun. She was Merida from Brave.
