So many of our ideas last year hinged on the plan to "do that next Spring." Here's a look at our yard so far. Oh, and in case you're interested, I've got pics of the garden. Up on Tending My Field. Monday, August 11, 2014. Perhaps you remember the "before." Our walls were dark brown, we had linoleum on the floors, and a cheap, but newer faucet. (And laundry.but, well, that's still lurking in the closet.) The great flood caused much damage.but this was pretty bad. =P. In 30 trips around the sun:. 1) First impressions are usually correct. 2) Growing things is magical. 3) Children are more genuine than adults. 4) Restaurants should always have bread on their tables. 5) Saving money is important and therefore hard. 6) The best avenue for escape is books. 7) My parents were right more than I thought. 8) Bitterness is a waste of time. 9) Peer pressure is more prevalent in adults, but also more subliminal. 11) New stationary is always a good idea.

Monday, December 19, 2011. 4 days until Christmas! After a month of anticipation and preparation, Christmas has almost arrived. The presents are all wrapped under the tree. Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Yesterday was Autumn Day here at our house. We decided to make school a day of preparation for Fall. We had a great time! Have I mentioned homeschooling is the best? We started with a trip to the Farmer's Market in Nashville.there we picked out several pumpkins. (All for only $5! Then we met my sweet husband for lunch and a nature walk at the park. The kids collected leaves, sticks, and spent some time on the playground. More ribbons and bows leftover from my sister's wedding.
