November 29, 2011. Casey and I started at the Pine Creek Canyon trail head at 8:30. I had GPS waypoints and directions from a local guidebook. When loading the waypoints I noticed some of them were clearly inaccurate so I took the directions with caution. In the end we just found our own way towards the base of the mountain, eventually finding a worn route marked by lots of cairns. Links to this post. November 27, 2011. Gottlieb Peak Loop (Four Peaks). March 30, 2012. The mountain almost seemed to be moving there were so many of them. I counted around 50 bighorns bouncing around the ridges ahead of me. When I continued my hike up the ridge there were even more coming from behind me. I ended up just sitting and watching them for a half hour or so.
