My Plan to Get Backyard Chickens this Summer. May 19, 2015. May 19, 2015. One thing I will be doing this summer, will be getting hens in my backyard. The city I live in passed a law last year, which allows us to have up to 4 hens. My roommate reminded me about the law that passed and said that we should get some hens.
