Rum-Bum Humdrum: March 2009
http://theblahblues.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Mar 30, 2009. THE GUILTY PLEASURE OF YAWNING. I recently discovered that the stronger you try to resist a yawn, the longer you end up yawning. In the last few days, it has become almost an addiction, so much, that I keep yawning at work. Needless to say, I become an easily kalaachufyable target, providing everyone their quota of daily humor. A kutti sample of my plight at the hands of my colleagues(cg):. Evlo perisa kottavi vidara paaru! Laughs and claps all around*. Hinting disinterest or the brain's wa...

The X Chromosome: On Why Diaries Rock
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2013/08/on-why-diaries-rock.html
Saturday, August 3, 2013. On Why Diaries Rock. You can see the evolution of your handwriting. From fitful, disjointed letters to beautiful, careful, cursive writing (the i's dotted with hearts), to impatient scrawls loaded with emotion. Your former self will be able to teach your current self some valuable lessons:. Don't bitch about your boyfriend to your best friends, after a fight. You will patch up with him but your friends will still loathe him.". Work hard. It DOES matter.". I had the yummiest.

The X Chromosome: Dear Mr. Rahul Gandhi,
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2014/01/dear-mr-rahul-gandhi.html
Friday, January 31, 2014. Dear Mr. Rahul Gandhi,. Watching you being interviewed by Arnab Goswami was excruciating. I cringed every time you said 'system', 'open', 'process' and 'women'. Unfortunately, most of the one and a half hour interview comprised these words. A lot of cringing. It would also help the stammering and blinking during interviews. Just a thought. Okay forget about Arnab for a minute. He can be a complete ass sometimes. In fact, like you pointed out, he never once asked you abou...I und...

The X Chromosome: March 2015
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 16, 2015. Hello world. :). The last seven (eight? I don't know anymore) months, have been just brain numbingly amazing. I always thought that doing an "M.S. in the Yoo Yess" is overrated. I mean, everyone does it. How exciting/hard/rewarding can it be? Maybe that's where I was wrong. I mean, everyone does it. How un-awesome can it be? Berkeley is pushing me to be a non-lazy person and to pursue real excellence. Sure, there are days like today when I am up pretty much all night (okay, at...

The X Chromosome: January 2013
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 17, 2013. Blah blah blah.diblah. I shall do the needful. Thanks and Regards,. I stare at the mail for three whole minutes, check and re-check the recipient list, the 'CC' and 'BCC' fields- just in case- and then click 'Send'. Oh wait, did I select 'Reply All' instead of 'Reply'? I did it the last time though. The memory makes me cringe. Then I read the mail from Jim's point of view and suddenly everything seems wrong. The word 'archaic' bothers me. Why is 'R' capitalized? If so, why?

The X Chromosome: In Pursuit of Hegdeji
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2012/06/in-pursuit-of-hegdeji.html
Saturday, June 9, 2012. In Pursuit of Hegdeji. When her name was called out at the “Indian Classical Music (Solo)” event at the National Level Youth Festival, 2010, all eyes were on the petite, dark and gaudily dressed girl. She walked all the way up to the stage, with an electronic tanpura. In hand, took around five minutes to set the tanpura. She sat down daintily, switched on the tanpura. And started to sing. Initially her base note came out all shaky. The impatient audience, all engineering s...Turne...

The X Chromosome: 5 Things I Tell Myself When I Am Sad
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2013/05/5-things-i-tell-myself-when-i-am-sad.html
Thursday, May 30, 2013. 5 Things I Tell Myself When I Am Sad. This too shall pass. The world is soooo beautiful. You live in an era where travelling is simple, hassle free and relatively inexpensive and meeting people has never been easier. You have so many gorgeous countries to go to, mountains to climb, exotic food to eat, and people to meet. Being sad is a little bit of a waste of time, no? You owe it to yourself and others to be happy. Hahaha. I like! May 30, 2013 at 8:16 PM. May 30, 2013 at 9:14 PM.

The X Chromosome: Morbid Perspective
http://wini-ram.blogspot.com/2013/01/morbid-perspective.html
Thursday, January 17, 2013. The sparkle of youth is fleeting. However, I don’t care. I think I rule the world (at least mine! There is every chance that I will be hit by a cab today, or be diagnosed with cancer or some incurable nervous disorder tomorrow (Amma, if you are reading this, DON’T PANIC! Chumma saying it to illustrate my point.). 8221;, I still have every chance of contracting a disease or dying right? But, this is what I realized today:. We are always going to regret inaction, and nothing else.
