Sunday, 5 May 2013. 4th May, 2013. Continuing with the theme of sedate hills: Braxonyja visited Edinburgh Zoo. To celebrate Immy's birthday! Edinburgh Zoo is set on the south side of Corstorphine Hill. At the top of which is apparently a tower dedicated to Sir Walter Scott but which I have to confess I have never seen. Saturday, 21 October 2017. Today we escaped to the Pentlands to take a route up Turnhouse Hill instead of our normal walk up to Castlelaw and round by the reservoir. The route now begins the long ascent to Turnhouse Hill, climbing up and down along a ridge over two hummocks. Kids being very careful not to disturb the dozing cows.
