Sunday, January 26, 2014. Has it been that long? It's been awhile since I've posted! That's a good thing I think. My second anniversary came and went. Here I am almost 4 years from when I found out my BRCA status. Now I'm past the mastectomy and reconstruction, and on to the ovaries. So last week I called the high risk clinic to ask the patient coordinator who I should see, because obviously I still need some form of screening! My risk isn't eliminated! There is no "are you SURE? BRCA1 / BRCA2 – What are they and how are they different? Getting tested in the UK. Where has the time gone? So 6 months on whats the latest? Well I am still having regular check-ups with my amazing medical team at The Royal Marsden in London (they were once every 6-8 weeks but are now once every 3 months and this will hopefully soon be reduced to once every 6 months). Rest assured that the Doctors really do know what they are doing, and they want nothing more than to have you up and about and well asap!
