Bread and Jêm
June 21, 2012. In South Africa everyone knows and loves rusks, or as we call it in Afrikaans, beskuit. For those who are a bit in the dark, rusks are usually sweet, chunky and crisp re baked bread cut into bite size pieces. The best thing about rusks are that you can add almost anything that takes your fancy. Nuts, seeds, dried fruit, muesli, coconut, chocolate pieces…. In winter I turn into a rusk monster and can gobble up quite a few in one sitting! 1 kg flour ( of it whole wheat ). 30 ml baking powder.

A blog of recipes and devotional writings by Jenn Harmon. December 21, 2016. I know that God will keep us – He won’t ever let us go. The landscape, the taste of sweet tea, the flip of a horse’s tail – He did it. He made it. We get to take it, personally. It’s not strange to want intimacy with God – seek romance; there’s purity in that. Keep pressing in. Keep hoping. You have the eye of your Beholder. This is Christmas. December 15, 2016.
